THE HORROR ADVOCATE: What is it?

[The Horror Advocate] creates pop culture resources focused on horror and social justice. THA offers consulting to help educators, civic leaders, community organizers, etc., implement film literacy as part of their efforts to effect change. THA is built to walk you through horror films with consideration toward impact and depth, shifting perspectives on where horror belongs and how it shows up.

Horror is culture, progression, and truth. It avoids sheltering us— no matter how dark or uncomfortable. Other genres are placebos, but Horror is medicine and pure confrontation. Other genres are designed for the masses, but horror is designed for the brave and matches impunity with the debt of survival. It is not a guessing game; it’s a cultural indictment.

These services standardize THA pedagogy, and film literacy, as reputable approaches to understanding contemporary quandaries; as the antidote for social ills.

SLIDING SCALE/DISCOUNTS

Hourly Rate = $100/Hour

Daily rates, Weekly rates, Guest appearances on podcasts/live event rates, + Speaking engagement rates are all available upon inquiry.

Small Assignments (up to a few days):

Payment is due upon delivery

Medium Assignments (1-2weeks):

50% upfront and 50% upon delivery

Sliding scale discount: up to 40%.

Non-profit [501(c)(3), tax exempt] discounts are available upon inquiry.

BY THE WORD RATES

Basic ($0.05-$0.20 per word)

Intermediate ($0.20-$0.70 per word)

Expert ($0.70-$1.50+ per word)

Big Assignments (2+ weeks):

30% up front, 40% in the middle and 30% upon delivery.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

ACH and or cash. I do not accept checks.

Agreements

All parties involved must sign a contract outlining the work scope and rate before work can begin.
